Rock of Ages – Theatre or Cinema?

On the stage you have Justin Lee Collins and Shayne Ward at The Shaftesbury Theatre in London’s West End.  The musical features a host of 80′s pop/rock songs from the likes of Def Leppard, Foreigner, Journey, REO Speedwagon & Twisted Sister.  Hits such as Don’t Stop Believing, We Built This City, The Final Countdown, Wanted Dead or Alive, Here I Go Again, Can’t Fight This Feeling and I Want to Know What Love Is. If your teenage years were in the 80s then this is the musical for you!

Set in LA’s infamous Sunset Strip in 1987, Rock of Ages tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit, and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in LA to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. This musical will take you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! This five-time Tony Award nominated musical, has now been made into a movie starring Tom Cruise, which is on release in cinemas and selected iMax(TM) locations. has tickets for the musical on stage at the Shaftesbury Theatre, but unfortunately not for the movie! Tickets are currently offered at discounted prices with top price tickes as low as £34.50.  You could, alternatively, book a dinner & show package, with dinner at Planet Hollywood, Little Sicily or L’Escargot combined with tickets for Rock of Ages. Prices are from £49.50 for the package.
