Getting There

By Bus

There is a bus station and travel information centre at Braehead. Direct buses come from Glasgow City Centre, Paisley, Renfrew, Erskine and the airport. A total of over 820 buses come through the station here.

The best way to plan your journey is via Traveline Scotland journey planner, which you can find at this web address: http://www.travelinescotland.com/welcome.do

By Coach

The coach park is located next to the bus station. However, if you are arranging your own coach party to visit the arena, please contact them in advance to check drop off points.

By Car

There are 6500 fee parking spaces at the arena. You should leave the M8 motorway at junction 26 if you are eastbound, and junction 25a if you are westbound on the motorway.

By Train

The closest railway station is Paisley Gilmour Street and you can then catch a bus to Braehead – these are very regular.

There is also an underground stop at Govan, again there are very regular bus services from this station – taking around 12 minutes.

To check your rail times you can use Nation Rail at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ or The Trainline at http://www.thetrainline.com/

By Air

The arena is only 4 miles from Glasgow Intl Airport. The First Bus 747 service, which is every 30 minutes, links directly with Braehead from the airport. The journey then takes around 15 minutes.

By Foot

Renfrew is only a mile away, so walking from the town centre is very easy, either via the Kings Inch Road of Riverside Walkway, which extends from the board walk to the ferry.

In The Area

Cash/ATM – cash machines can be found on the upper level of the shopping centre in 3 locations, next to Next, next to Schuh Kids and next to McDonalds. Also, there are 3 ATMs on the lower level, by Boots, at the TSB Bank branch and by Marks & Spencers.

Eating – as the arena is part of the shopping centre there is a wide choice of eateries, whether you want take away, snack, sit-down or fast food. Choose from Greggs, Handmade Burger Co, KFC, Nandos, Pizza Hut and many more. There are also food stalls within the arena.

Drinking – The arena has bars within the arena. For coffee choose Starbucks, Costa or Caffe Nero. For something a little stronger, visit The Lord of the Isles, situated in the Xscape complex next door. This is a Wetherspoons pub serving real ales and simple food.
