Lunchtime With Rick Edwards and Kriss Akabusi

First in this unusual series of lunchtime live interviews on stage at the Criterion Theatre is Rick Edwards interviewing Kriss Akabusi.

I think most of us will know that Kriss Akabusi is a multi-award-winning athlete, including a silver Olympic medal in the 4 x 400m relay at the LA Olympics.  However, what not so many of us will know is that he still holds the British record of 47.82 seconds for the 400 m hurdles. We might also have missed that Kriss is a professional speaker, a coach, Chairman of The Akabusi Charitable Trust which works to make a difference in Africa by funding sustainable projects in health, education, water, sanitation & social enterprise and West Ham fan!

Who knows about Rick Edwards? Rick is a Cambridge University graduate, former E4 music host, moving on to present C4’s Freshly Squeezed and then on to be one of the T4 presenting family in 2007. Rick has hosted a range of C4 programmes, including game shows, movie specails, music series, sports programmes and more recently That Paralympic Show and Tool Academy on E4.

Rick is also now devising and starring in Rick And Peter, a sitcom pilot for C4’s Comedy Lab and has a keen interest in the environment, and supported green organisation Global Cool in 2010 as part of their Traincation campaign.
